Uzbekistan: fastest-growing startup country in the world
StartupBlink's Global Startup Ecosystem Awards were held in Tashkent for the first time. Uzbekistan grew by 227.3%, and Tashkent is the leading startup city in Central Asia. Germany was honoured too: Germany Trade & Invest accepted the award for the most valuable ecosystem in the EU.
Enterprise Uzbekistan with its own summit
The law on the International Digital Technology Center enters into force on 21 January 2027. The special framework drawing on English common law runs until the end of 2100, and disputes go to the Tashkent International Commercial Court. The centre's rules are being drafted now - the organisers explicitly asked for questions from practice.
Outsourcing: sites outside Tashkent
At the Tech and Service Outsourcing Conference, IT Park presented its figures and the Zero Risk programme for regional sites. Several international BPO providers examined Uzbekistan as a location - explicitly including teams with German.
Tech parks of the Organization of Turkic States
IT Park, Azerbaijan's digital agency IDDA, Astana Hub, Kyrgyzstan's High Technology Park and Bilişim Vadisi from Turkey signed a memorandum: the organisation's technology forum will now be held every year, the next one in Turkey.
Startup World Cup: regional final in Tashkent
15 finalists from 219 applications from 29 countries. The winner represents the region at the final in San Francisco.
