Uzbek–Japan ICT Forum to convene experts on IT outsourcing

On 24 September 2025, the Uzbek–Japan ICT Forum is scheduled to occur in Tashkent as part of ICT Week. The event is anticipated to attract over 150 attendees, including representatives from government bodies, the business sector, academia, and international organizations.

The Uzbek–Japan ICT Forum acts as a specialized platform aimed at enhancing collaboration in information technology and outsourcing between Uzbekistan and Japan. By uniting stakeholders from both nations, the forum will promote the sharing of knowledge, showcase projects, and discuss future opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the digital domain.

A significant feature of the program will be the panel discussion titled “IT Outsourcing from Uzbekistan to Japan: Opportunities and Challenges.” Participants from both the public and private sectors will explore potential collaborations in digital technologies and outsourcing, sharing practical insights and solutions to strengthen partnerships.

The first segment of the panel discussion will include representatives from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, IT Park Uzbekistan, the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and Japan Digital University.

The second segment will focus on private sector insights, featuring speakers from Toyota Tsusho Corporation, Orion Computer Co., Ltd., Soft Hyperion CA FE LLC, UZInfocom, WYNENTERPRISE LLC, and BEPRO-DEVHUB LLC. Mr. Akihiro Sakurai, Adviser to the Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, will moderate the session.

The forum signifies a crucial advancement in reinforcing the relationship between Uzbekistan and Japan. For Uzbekistan, it presents a chance to showcase its human resources and infrastructure capabilities, while for Japan, it offers access to a dependable partner for technological ventures.
