Digital Services Exports and International Cooperation: IT Park Uzbekistan at the Uzbekistan–Austria Business Forum

The event gathered representatives from the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency, the international organization Global Neighbours, as well as BrainsToVentures, ecotel communication, Tele Columbus, and GOODRAM / Wilk Elektronik. The program included industry presentations and bilateral discussions in both B2B and G2B formats.

Jahongir Kagirov, Director of Export Development at IT Park Uzbekistan, outlined the export-oriented development model of Uzbekistan’s IT industry, emphasizing the conditions that support the country's integration into the global market for technology and business services.

His presentation covered the availability of talent for export-focused projects, infrastructure capabilities, and institutional support mechanisms for foreign companies. He detailed IT Park Uzbekistan membership requirements, existing tax incentives, and the opportunities for setting up IT operations in the country.

Particular attention was given to the two-way nature of technological cooperation, including the involvement of Austrian companies in Uzbekistan-based projects and the expansion of access for Uzbek digital service providers to European clients.

For IT Park Uzbekistan, the forum offered a platform to promote Uzbekistan’s IT industry in European markets, with a focus on diversifying export destinations, expanding contractual business relationships, and attracting international technology partners.
