Uzbekistan discusses strategic partnership with Wersirius Holding to boost logistics outsourcing and digital talent development

A delegation from the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, led by Minister Sherzod Shermatov, along with representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan, headed by Farkhod Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, is currently on a working visit to the United States.

During this visit, the delegation met with Danilo Tosic, Co-Founder of Wersirius Holding, to discuss potential collaboration in logistics outsourcing, digital transformation, and workforce development.

The conversations centered on how Wersirius Holding’s international expertise could aid in creating a modern logistics support ecosystem in Uzbekistan, generate new job opportunities for young professionals, and enhance the country's standing in global logistics services. Specifically, the parties considered the establishment of a Wersirius operational center in Uzbekistan under the IT Park residency program, which would offer back-office support for international logistics, including dispatch, track-and-trace, recruiting, safety, and more.

Particular emphasis was placed on talent development, with Wersirius intending to initiate training programs in logistics, dispatch operations, recruiting, and sales to equip Uzbek youth with skills relevant on a global scale. The discussions also included plans to scale operational capacity from an initial 50 seats to as many as 200 positions, potential growth into tech-support and software development roles, utilizing Uzbekistan’s robust talent pool and favorable business environment, and enhancing cooperation among Uzbekistan, Serbia, and the U.S. in logistics and digital services.

Consequently, the parties pinpointed key areas for collaboration, such as establishing the regional operations center of Wersirius in Uzbekistan, developing educational initiatives, and broadening workforce opportunities in logistics and digital services.

This project aims to stimulate job creation, improve the country’s knowledge-based economy, and expedite the digital transformation of the logistics sector. Wersirius highlighted that Uzbekistan possesses talent quality comparable to leading nearshore markets, while also allowing for greater scalability and strategic growth.

The initiative underscores Uzbekistan’s dedication to attracting international service operators, creating high-value digital jobs, and positioning the country as a competitive global outsourcing hub.
