Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion results: over 450 participants from 9 regions completed soft skills training
In July, the inaugural regional training sessions for the Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion project — coordinated by the Ministry of Digital Technologies, IT Park Uzbekistan, and the World Bank — were successfully held. The initiative attracted over 450 participants from nine regions across the nation. The main demographic targeted consisted of young individuals aged 18 to 30, including women and persons with disabilities.
The Uzbekistan Digital Inclusion initiative aims to enhance the digital and social skills of young people, expand employment prospects, and foster inclusivity in both education and the workforce. By reaching various regions throughout the country, the program plays a vital role in establishing equal opportunities for all participants.
The training curriculum included the development of crucial skills such as effective verbal and non-verbal communication, teamwork and time management, business correspondence, interview preparation and self-presentation, as well as professional etiquette for remote work. Additionally, a specific module was dedicated to the practical use of generative artificial intelligence for résumé creation.
Participants were actively involved in group activities, discussions, and practical case studies. Feedback revealed that the sessions improved their ability to craft professional résumés and approach interviews with increased confidence. The inclusion of persons with disabilities was a fundamental aspect of the program, highlighting its dedication to inclusivity.
The outcomes of the initial training sessions demonstrated a strong interest in soft skills development. This pilot phase confirmed the importance of the project, with feedback and results intended to refine future sessions. The broader campaign will continue from September to December, expanding its reach to more regions and participants.
