
Tashkent hosted the regional stage of ICPC Uzbekistan 2025: winners of the championship announced
On November 2, 2025, the regional stage of The 2025 ICPC Uzbekistan Regional Contest, the largest programming competition for students in the nation, took place in Tashkent. Hosted at School 21, the event attracted over 600 participants from 32 universities throughout Uzbekistan.
The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is a prestigious global competition in the field of competitive programming, bringing together more than 73,000 students and 12,000 coaches from 3,400 universities across 103 countries each year.
The Uzbekistan regional stage was coordinated by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, and ITPU, with backing from Uzcard and School 21, who served as the platinum sponsors for the event. This year's contest featured 202 teams, including 80 from regional universities, highlighting the increasing importance of IT education in fostering the nation’s human capital and developing a skilled workforce.
As stated by the organizers, ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 was a vital platform for nurturing talented young programmers and cultivating a generation of specialists equipped to engage with advanced technologies and create innovative solutions.
Upon conclusion of the competition, the team “Unexpected Ones” from the Tashkent University of Humanities secured first place. The second position was claimed by the team “Don’t Panic” from the Tashkent University of Information Technologies, while “Three Dinosaurs” from the New Uzbekistan University took third place.

Teams finishing in 4th to 9th places also received monetary awards and medals, thanks to the support of IT Park Uzbekistan.
The champions of ICPC Uzbekistan will represent the nation in the semifinals of the ICPC World Championship. To prepare, IT Park, in collaboration with its partners, will host training bootcamps and mentorship programs designed to enhance participants’ algorithmic thinking and teamwork abilities.
ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 underscored Uzbekistan’s dedication to reinforcing its role in technological education and fostering a new generation of professionals who will aid in the digital advancement of the country.
