Startup & Venture Summit to be held in Tashkent as part of ICT Week

On 25 September 2025, Tashkent will host the Startup & Venture Summit as part of ICT Week. This event is expected to gather over 500 participants, including startups, venture capital funds, accelerators, government agencies, and other essential players in the startup and venture ecosystem. Organized in collaboration with Plug and Play, the Summit aims to foster new opportunities for partnerships with international funds, strategic allies, and corporations interested in Central Asia, while also acting as a catalyst for the further integration of Uzbek startups into the global innovation landscape.

The Startup & Venture Summit serves as a pivotal gathering for the venture capital community and the startup ecosystem in Central Asia. The summit's objectives include showcasing the region’s growth trajectory, forging new partnerships, and attracting global investors to explore opportunities in Uzbekistan and its neighboring countries. For startups, it provides assistance in scaling to international markets, while venture funds will have access to a rapidly growing market with substantial potential.

The program will include keynote addresses and panel discussions focused on scaling startups and developing venture capital, success stories of Uzbek founders abroad, and insights from investors regarding Central Asia’s potential. Confirmed speakers include Yoram Wijngaarde, Founder and CEO of Dealroom.co; Alfredo Gomez Soria, Director of Corporate Relations at Plug and Play Tech Center (Germany); Jan Davídek, Partner at Purple Ventures (Czech Republic); Darsh Singh Mann, Head of Business Development and Partnerships at StartX (USA); Sara Daniel, Managing Director at Doha Tech Angels (Qatar); along with other esteemed experts.

The Summit will wrap up with networking sessions and B2B meetings, allowing participants to forge new partnerships and receive mentorship from leading international experts.
