IT Park Uzbekistan and IT Park Ventures, in partnership with Silkroad Innovation Hub and Silkroad Angels Club, launched a series of educational programs designed to promote a culture of angel and venture capital investment. This initiative encompassed specialized training for employees of IT Park and IT Park Ventures, as well as an open intensive program called Silkroad Venture School for participants from the regional venture capital market.

Silkroad Venture School is a five-day intensive program focused on angel and venture capital investing, conducted online. Organized by Silkroad Angels Club and Silkroad Innovation Hub in collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan and IT Park Ventures, the program aimed to enhance both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in venture investing.

The curriculum included four thematic modules and a concluding session, amounting to over 10 hours of training and featuring 10 speakers—active investors and startup founders from Silicon Valley and the surrounding region. Participants systematically examined the essential stages of the investment cycle through the modules “Fundamentals of Venture and Angel Investing,” “Startup Due Diligence Methodology,” “Startup Valuation Methods,” and “Legal Aspects of Deal Structuring, Portfolio Management, and Exit Strategies.” The program culminated with a guest lecture and a final session for startup pitches.

Over 60 participants engaged in the training, representing IT Park Uzbekistan, IT Park Ventures, AloqaVentures, United Ventures, SQB Ventures, CS Angels Club, C-Space, Qazaqstan Venture Group Ltd, Astana Hub Ventures, and members of the Silkroad Angels Club. Consequently, the program emerged as a collaborative educational platform for venture market stakeholders throughout Central Asia, made available to ecosystem partners in an open and accessible manner.

The speakers for the program included Asset Abdualiyev, Abay Absamet, Alexander Soroka, Danil Kislinsky, Alex Ravsky, Ramon Djuraboev, Anna Fokina, along with founders of technology startups operating in international markets. During the program, participants evaluated startup pitches from Surfaice.pro, Aleem, and Pipkin—Silicon Valley–based startups specializing in AI, construction technology, and EdTech.

“For IT Park Ventures, cultivating competencies in venture and angel investing is part of a long-term and consistent strategy to establish a sustainable investment infrastructure in the region.”

In collaboration with IT Park Uzbekistan and in partnership with Silkroad Innovation Hub and Silkroad Angels Club, we launched Silkroad Venture School as a practical educational platform designed to enhance the quality of startup evaluations, deal structuring, and the preparedness of market participants to co-invest with international partners. It is essential for us that access to such programs is extended not only to our internal teams but also to ecosystem partners—venture funds, corporate investors, and angel communities—thereby establishing unified standards, a shared methodology, and a comparable level of expertise throughout the market.

“For us, Silkroad Venture School is not merely an educational format, but a means to foster venture thinking within the region. Our objective is for development institutions, funds, and angels to share a common understanding of the venture cycle—from startup analysis to exit. We recognize significant potential in Central Asia, and such programs serve as a foundation for cultivating robust regional investors who operate in accordance with international standards. I would also like to express my gratitude to IT Park Uzbekistan and IT Park Ventures for their partnership, trust, and ongoing support of initiatives aimed at nurturing a mature venture ecosystem in the region.”

“The angel and venture capital market in the region is evolving rapidly, while simultaneously establishing direct access to one of the world’s leading venture ecosystems. Silkroad Venture School clearly illustrates that experts and venture investors from Silicon Valley are willing to share their experiences with regional funds and angel investors. In addition to the educational aspect, the Silkroad Angels Club community is already engaging in joint investments within the regional diaspora that is developing technology startups for the U.S. market. For us, it is crucial to merge practical investment activities with a strong theoretical foundation. I believe that this ongoing exchange of knowledge and collaborative investments generates long-term value for the entire regional venture ecosystem.”

The series of educational initiatives has played a significant role in the development of a professional venture community and in enhancing the quality of investment expertise within the region.

For IT Park Uzbekistan and IT Park Ventures, this initiative represents a strategic endeavor to establish a developed venture ecosystem in which investors, funds, and startups communicate using a shared professional language and adhere to international standards while engaging with innovative projects.
