A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan conducted an official visit to Berlin, coinciding with the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference. This event was organized by IT Park Uzbekistan in collaboration with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, alongside The Eastern Committee of the German Economy and Berlin Economics. The visit included a series of meetings with various German companies, such as Gevekom GmbH, Endax GmbH, and Pedersen & Partners, among others. The main goal of the visit was to showcase Uzbekistan’s capabilities in IT and outsourcing, forge direct relationships with German partners, and emphasize the country’s competitive advantages as a trustworthy location for global digital services.

Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference

The conference attracted over 100 attendees from 70 different companies. Dilshod Akhatov, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany, inaugurated the event, highlighting the importance of enhancing bilateral economic ties and the increasing interest of German firms in collaborating with Uzbekistan.

Additional opening remarks were provided by Adrian Wolkersdorf, a representative from the Federal Ministry for Digital Technologies and Modernization of Public Administration, and Michael Harms, Managing Director of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy. Both speakers emphasized Uzbekistan’s emerging potential as a new center for IT outsourcing in Central Asia.

Fayzulla Ulmasov, Chief Manager of the IT Export Development Department at IT Park Uzbekistan, delivered a presentation titled “Uzbekistan – Strategic Partner in Global Services Expansion,” which detailed the country’s Zero Risk program, available tax incentives, IT visa opportunities, and expanding talent pool.

Garry Poluschkin, a Consultant at the German Economic Team, offered an in-depth analysis of the trends in Uzbekistan’s IT sector development. Viktoria Dubova, Deputy Chairwoman of the Board at Uzinfocom Europe, presented “From Idea to Reality: The Power of Uzbek Tech Talent,” showcasing the innovative capabilities of Uzbek IT professionals.

The official program concluded with a panel discussion entitled “Entering Uzbekistan: A Scalable and Strategic Decision,” moderated by Michael Harms. The panel included Robert Kirchner (Berlin Economics), Adrian Wolkersdorf (Federal Ministry of Germany), Philipp Kleine Jäger (EPAM Systems), Bastian Kregel (Plug and Play), and Vsevolod Lee (IT Park Uzbekistan).

The conversation centered on actionable strategies for German firms looking to enter the Uzbek market, the advantages of outsourcing, and the nation’s preparedness regarding human resources.

The conference in Berlin, together with the discussions that took place during the visit, underscored the keen interest of German and European enterprises in forming alliances with Uzbekistan in areas such as IT outsourcing, digital solutions, and consulting services. For IT Park Uzbekistan, this event represented a crucial advancement in enhancing collaboration with Germany, broadening its network of partners within the European Union, and positioning Uzbekistan as a rising technological center in the region.
