Outcomes of the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation’s visit to Oman: partnerships and new initiatives

A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, accompanied by member companies Detecting AI, BRB Tech, and Fleetroot, conducted a working visit to Muscat (Sultanate of Oman). The itinerary included participation in the international exhibition Comex Technology Show 2025, as well as numerous meetings with prominent Omani and international firms. This visit culminated in the signing of memoranda and agreements to establish new offices in Uzbekistan, initiate pilot projects, and develop collaborative educational and acceleration initiatives.

The COMEX Technology Show 2025, the largest technology exhibition in Oman, took place from September 8 to 11, 2025, in Muscat. The event gathered government entities, global corporations, startups, and investors, showcasing cutting-edge solutions in digital governance, fintech, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, gaming, health tech, and sustainable technologies. It serves as a vital platform for advancing Vision 2040 and positioning Oman as a regional center for digital transformation.

Member startups of IT Park, Detecting AI, BRB Tech, and Fleetroot, presented their innovations in artificial intelligence, digital services, and logistics management.

Fleetroot unveiled its delivery and IoT management solutions, which attracted significant interest from potential clients. The company engaged in discussions with Omantel, receiving an invitation to partner through its Innovation Labs acceleration program, and with Gulf Business Solutions, which is contemplating the implementation of IoT-FMS for one of the region's largest construction firms. Omani logistics operators, including The Famous Line, and the Cypriot startup Metaxas, which operates one of the region's largest express delivery services with a fleet of 1,200 vehicles, also expressed interest.

Fleetroot, a member of IT Park, provides a SaaS platform for last-mile logistics, fleet, and order management. Its solutions allow companies to optimize routes and monitor assets in real time, making them particularly relevant for logistics providers and retail businesses.

Detecting AI presented its product in Oman for the first time and received favorable feedback from both international attendees and local universities. Special emphasis was placed on the technology's applicability within the education sector. A significant outcome of the presentation was the initiation of collaboration with M-Tech.ai, a leading Omani AI company.

The parties are in the process of drafting a contract to collaboratively introduce the product to the national market.

Detecting AI is a SaaS platform designed to identify AI-generated content. With over 250,000 users globally, including universities and businesses, it offers verification services for the authenticity of texts, audio, and images. The startup aims to establish itself as a trusted ecosystem within the digital landscape.

BRB Tech showcased its “Credit Monitoring” and “Business 24/7” platforms to Oman’s leading banks — Sohar International Bank, Ahli Bank, and Bank of Muscat. These solutions garnered considerable interest regarding their potential integration into the local financial infrastructure. Additionally, the company engaged in discussions with PhazeRo and Al Jabr to explore market entry strategies and future partnerships. On the final day of the exhibition, BRB Tech received proposals for legal and organizational assistance to facilitate its entry into the Omani market and was invited to participate in the forthcoming GITEX global exhibition.

BRB Tech is an innovative IT firm based in Uzbekistan, focusing on digital banking platforms, super apps, and AI solutions. It collaborates with prominent financial institutions to provide scalable and secure digital ecosystems.

Engagements with Omani startup and venture capital stakeholders

During the visit, representatives from IT Park conducted meetings with key players in Oman’s innovation ecosystem, including aljabr.co, Omantel Innovation Labs, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), Oman Startup Hub, Madaar, Phaze Ventures, Jasoor Ventures, Oman Investment Authority, Golden Gate Ventures, and INFINIA.

aljabr.co: innovative acceleration formats and joint initiatives

Conversations took place with Al Jabr, an Omani innovation firm established in 2019 by Mohammed Al-Wahaibi and Fatma Bahwan. The company specializes in fostering startups and corporate innovation, offering pre-acceleration, incubation, and acceleration programs, along with access to financial and intellectual resources.

The parties explored collaborative initiatives, including the establishment of accelerators for market entry and mentoring programs. It was agreed that further discussions would take place in Uzbekistan to create a structured framework for cooperation. Al Jabr also confirmed its participation in ICT Week.

Omantel Innovation Labs: Interest in Uzbekistan’s Ecosystem

In collaboration with Aloqa Ventures, a meeting took place with Ghada Al-Said from Omantel Innovation Labs — the innovation division of Omantel, which fosters entrepreneurship in areas such as 5G, IoT, cybersecurity, Big Data, AI, and fintech.

The company showcased its flagship six-month accelerator program along with four startups from its portfolio. During the discussions, IT Park Uzbekistan highlighted its current initiatives and accomplishments. Omantel demonstrated a keen interest in ongoing collaboration and in exploring joint efforts to support startups.

MTCIT: Startup Exchange Between the Two Countries

In talks with Hamood Al-Hamadan from the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology (MTCIT), the parties discussed the possibility of facilitating startup exchanges between Uzbekistan and Oman. As a preliminary measure, they agreed to conduct online webinars to gauge entrepreneurs' interest in both markets.

Oman Startup Hub: Integration of Uzbek Companies

The delegation was acquainted with the Oman Startup Hub (OSH), the national platform that brings together startups, accelerators, investors, and sponsors. OSH currently supports over 160 startups and 47 partners, playing a pivotal role in the advancement of Oman’s innovation ecosystem.

Phaze Ventures: Interest in BRB Tech

During a meeting with Masoud Al-Rawahi, the founder of Oman’s inaugural venture capital fund, Phaze Ventures, the parties shared experiences and insights regarding market development. The fund expressed interest in the Uzbek startup BRB Tech and agreed to keep in touch for future communications. Mr. Al-Rawahi also confirmed his participation in ICT Week.

Oman Investment Authority: Focus on B2B Startups

In a meeting with Ali Abdulhussein from the Oman Investment Authority, the parties reviewed ongoing collaborative projects, including the uzoman.uz initiative. The Omani representatives expressed particular interest in B2B startups and investments in sectors with high potential.

Golden Gate Ventures: Interest in AI and Fintech

Michael Lints, a Partner at Golden Gate Ventures, emphasized Uzbekistan’s attractiveness as an emerging market for investment and expressed interest in startups within AI, fintech, e-commerce, and biotech. The parties agreed to arrange a dedicated pitching session for Uzbek startups during ICT Week.

Meetings on IT Outsourcing and Exports

Further discussions took place with various companies and organizations involved in IT outsourcing and exports, including Gadoba, Novatelia, Global Computer Services, Oman Information Technology Society, Free Economic Zone of Oman, Cyber3S, Madayn, Project, Tenders and Local Content Authority, Knowledge Resources, Al Muheet Institute, DreamLab Technologies, and the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Gadoba: Establishment of an Office in Uzbekistan

On the first day of the visit, the delegation engaged with representatives from Gadoba. Following their discussions, a memorandum of understanding was signed, wherein the company announced plans to open an office in Uzbekistan to initiate IT outsourcing operations. The official launch is scheduled to coincide with ICT Week Uzbekistan.

Novatelia: Job Creation and IT Services Export

A meeting was conducted with Novatelia founder Muhammad Jan Madjeedi. The company revealed its intentions to set up operations in Uzbekistan, recruit specialists, and concentrate on exporting IT services.

Oman Information Technology Society: Joint Events and MoU

The parties deliberated on supporting Uzbek companies in entering the Omani market, organizing collaborative events, and preparing to sign a memorandum of cooperation. The society also confirmed its participation in the Uzbekistan Outsourcing Conference.

Free Economic Zone of Oman: Offices for Uzbek IT Companies

During a meeting with the Free Economic Zone of Oman, the potential for Uzbek IT companies to establish offices in the country’s free zones was explored. The Omani representatives expressed their willingness to connect IT Park with Oman Technology Park and assist in organizing a joint session.

Cyber3S: Launch of a Healthcare App in Uzbekistan

Cyber3S founder Maruf Aminu introduced a healthcare mobile application and announced intentions to establish a company in Uzbekistan as early as September.

Madayn: Startup Support through Softlanding Program

Madayn, the organization responsible for managing Oman’s industrial zones, confirmed its readiness to provide offices and financial support for Uzbek companies through the Softlanding program.

Knowledge Resources and Al Muheet Institute: Educational Projects and New Ventures

The companies announced their plans to offer IT training in Uzbekistan, create two new enterprises, and forge partnerships with universities.

The visit of the IT Park Uzbekistan delegation to Oman represented a significant advancement in enhancing bilateral cooperation.

It not only facilitated the showcasing of Uzbek IT solutions at the Comex Technology Show 2025 but also established a foundation for new international partnerships. Agreements regarding the establishment of offices, collaborative projects, and startup support programs create advantageous conditions for Uzbek companies to penetrate Gulf markets and strengthen Uzbekistan’s status as a swiftly evolving IT hub in the region.
