Kashkadarya at ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025: new projects and international partnerships

As part of ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025, a delegation from the Kashkadarya region, led by Anvar Kobilov, Deputy Governor for Youth Policy, Social Development, and Spiritual and Educational Affairs, engaged in a series of meetings with prominent international IT firms. The aim of this visit was to boost IT exports, improve workforce training quality, and generate new job opportunities for the youth in the region.

During ICT Week, discussions took place with companies from Japan, Canada, Oman, Turkey, and Kazakhstan. A significant focus was placed on training qualified specialists, establishing new representative offices, and developing the essential infrastructure to support the IT sector.

International partners and areas of cooperation

In collaboration with Harv3st (Oman), representatives from the Kashkadarya branch of IT Park explored initiatives to advance digital agriculture and suggested measures to further enhance IT export volumes.

An agreement was established with the Canadian company NTG Clarity Networks Inc. to open a branch in Kashkadarya, which will create new job opportunities for local IT professionals.

Discussions with Kazakhstan’s Kazteleport revolved around the potential for establishing a data center in the region, alongside the technical and infrastructural requirements needed for the project's execution.

With the Turkish company Visiosoft, potential solutions in AI, IoT, and digitalization were examined, including opportunities for collaborative projects in developing “smart” services. Conversations with Interzoon focused on implementing digital solutions to promote foreign trade and investment within the region.

Engagements with Japanese companies Sagri, JETRO, and Orion Computer centered on the training of highly skilled specialists, which includes Japanese language education and the creation of IT-oriented educational programs.

The delegation underscored the significant interest of international partners in initiating joint projects in Kashkadarya. The parties agreed to continue discussions and arrange visits from foreign companies to the region soon to finalize the detailed terms of collaboration.

The participation of the Kashkadarya region in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025 marked a crucial advancement in strengthening international partnerships and positioning the region as a promising hub for IT business.

The agreements made lay the groundwork for drawing in investment, implementing innovative solutions, and generating new opportunities for youth, which will ultimately aid in the advancement of Uzbekistan’s digital economy.
