
Japanese company expresses interest in the Uzbekistan market
The Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov, convened a meeting with the leadership of Hitachi Vantara in Japan. The discussion centered on positioning Uzbekistan as a new outsourcing hub for Hitachi Vantara, along with state-supported initiatives designed to enhance the IT sector within the country.
The conversation primarily addressed the current tax and customs incentives available in Uzbekistan, the favorable business environment offered to member companies of IT Park Uzbekistan, and government-supported programs for workforce training and development.
The attendees also examined the potential for establishing a regional office for the company in Uzbekistan. Both parties emphasized that Uzbekistan's strategic geographical location, access to CIS and neighboring markets, and its competitive labor market are of significant importance to the company.
Hitachi Vantara expressed a keen interest in collaborating on the enhancement of IT outsourcing services in Uzbekistan, the development of data infrastructure and data centers, the training and professional growth of local talent, and the execution of joint projects involving both public and private sectors.
Comprehensive information was shared with the company representatives regarding investment opportunities in data centers, national initiatives for IT infrastructure modernization, and educational programs aimed at nurturing talent for the IT and digital economy sectors.
