IT Park Uzbekistan holds award ceremony for employees trained under the international ISO 50001:2018 standard

IT Park Uzbekistan held a formal ceremony to honor employees who successfully completed training in accordance with the international ISO 50001:2018 standard, which focuses on the implementation and development of an Energy Management System (EnMS).

During the ceremony, 15 employees of IT Park were awarded certificates that acknowledged their successful completion of the training and affirmed their expertise in energy efficiency, energy consumption management, and the application of international sustainability standards.

The event commenced with a welcoming speech by Abdulahad Kuchkarov, CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, who underscored that energy management is a vital component of IT Park’s sustainable development strategy and the establishment of a contemporary digital infrastructure:

“ISO 50001 is not just a technical standard, but a philosophy of systematic management. For IT Park, which is developing a startup ecosystem, IT infrastructure, and the export of digital services, efficient energy management is of strategic importance.”

It was also noted during the event that, according to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the adoption of energy management systems, including ISO 50001, allows organizations to decrease energy consumption by an average of about 11% in the initial years, and in certain instances by 10–30%, thereby directly aiding in cost reduction and minimizing carbon emissions.

The training was facilitated with assistance from CERT International, a leading global organization specializing in ISO certification and training. Riad Ibragimov, CEO of CERT International, was commended for the program's high quality and its practical, hands-on training approach.

At the end of the event, it was highlighted that the trained professionals will constitute the core team responsible for the implementation and ongoing development of the energy management system at IT Park Uzbekistan, thereby ensuring sustainable development, energy efficiency, and adherence to international standards.
