IT Park Uzbekistan and the China–SCO Center discussed prospects for cooperation in research and innovation

Director of IT Park Capital Jakhongir Kagirov convened a meeting with a delegation from the China–SCO Science-Technology Innovation Cooperation Center, headed by Deputy Director Liu Hongzhi. The discussion focused on potential collaboration in the areas of science, technology, innovation, and digital development, as well as the exchange of expertise related to supporting startups and enhancing research-driven initiatives.

The China–SCO Science-Technology Innovation Cooperation Center promotes research and educational projects between China and the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. The Center fosters technology exchange, collaboration between universities and industries, and capacity-building in the digital economy, artificial intelligence, and innovation.

During the meeting, representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan presented an overview of the organization’s activities, its ecosystem, support programs for member companies, and ongoing projects. They highlighted IT Park’s eagerness to develop research and R&D initiatives in partnership with international collaborators, including Chinese technology centers and academic institutions.

In response, representatives from the China–SCO Center detailed their efforts to enhance scientific and educational cooperation between China and SCO member states, while also promoting technology exchange and collaboration among universities and businesses.

At the end of the meeting, both parties expressed a shared interest in maintaining the dialogue and expanding their partnership in innovation, education, and digital development.
