IT Park Uzbekistan and Telc explore new avenues of cooperation in language education

A meeting was held at IT Park Uzbekistan with representatives from the German organization Telc gGmbH, where the two parties engaged in discussions regarding the initiation of collaborative projects in the realm of language education and certification.

From IT Park, attendees included Jakhongir Radjabov, Business Development Director; Vsevolod Lee, Head of the IT Park Uzbekistan Office in Germany; Muzaffar Nuriddinkhodjaev, IT Park Ambassador in Germany; Sarvar Vokhidov, Head of the European and UK Export Department; and Akbar Yakubov, Senior Manager of the External Projects Implementation Department. The delegation from Telc gGmbH comprised Bruno Carlesso, Director of Global Business Development, and Winfrid Elwanger, Head of Business Development for Central Asia.

Telc gGmbH is a German non-profit organization based in Bad Homburg, which specializes in international language assessments aligned with CEFR standards (A1–C2). Telc certificates are acknowledged for academic, professional, and migration purposes across numerous countries, and the organization boasts a network of over 3,000 examination centers globally. In addition to German, Telc creates assessments in English, Spanish, French, Italian, Turkish, Russian, and other languages. The organization also develops teaching methodologies, educational resources, and offers teacher training to uphold high certification standards.

During the meeting, IT Park provided a summary of its significant accomplishments from 2017 to 2025, emphasizing its commitment to attracting international educational institutions and enhancing certification infrastructure.

Telc representatives mentioned that the organization currently provides two types of certificate formats — one for visa applications and another for general use. They also highlighted that Telc is in the process of developing new job-test examinations designed to meet the requirements of labor markets that are increasingly in need of skilled professionals.

Telc expressed a desire to collaborate with IT Park Uzbekistan in training qualified specialists. The parties explored potential avenues for joint efforts aimed at bolstering language skills and enhancing the quality of training for specialists aligned with the demands of the international market.

Jakhongir Radjabov remarked that the rising demand from major BPO companies for German-speaking professionals underscores the critical need for systematic training of such talent.

IT Park also highlighted that the nation has a government program that fully covers students' tuition fees upon their successful attainment of the C1-level certificate.

After the meeting, the involved parties reached a consensus to persist in their collaboration on the advancement of international educational initiatives designed to generate new opportunities for training skilled professionals within the country.
