IT Park Uzbekistan and MAAB Innovation launched BI analytics training program

IT Park Uzbekistan held a ceremony to honor 100 participants of the “100 GRANT” project, who successfully navigated a multi-stage selection process, by awarding them laptops and officially launching their training. This program is being executed in collaboration with MAAB Innovation, which oversees the educational aspect and the delivery of the eight-month training course. The initiative aims to train specialists in Business Intelligence (BI), a highly sought-after area in the current digital economy. The event was attended by Jakhongir Radjabov, the Business Development Director of IT Park Uzbekistan.

“100 GRANT” is a collaborative effort between IT Park and MAAB Innovation, designed to cultivate qualified data analytics professionals. The project comprises four modules over an eight-month period. Participants who complete the entire program without any absences and fulfill all requirements will receive their training at no cost.

High Interest and Rigorous Selection

The project attracted considerable interest from youth and early-career professionals. A total of 4,167 individuals joined the Telegram group, 2,165 registered for the qualifying tests, and 815 completed the initial assessment stage. From this group, 208 were invited to the second stage, where 133 candidates successfully passed the interview. Ultimately, 100 candidates were chosen to participate in the intensive eight-month BI training program.

The evaluation process was based on well-defined criteria: in the first stage, participants took a written test that assessed their logical reasoning and English proficiency; in the second stage, they prepared and defended a presentation in English based on an individual task. Only those who achieved sufficiently high scores and successfully presented their work were admitted to the final stage.

The final cohort represents all regions of the country: 33 participants from Tashkent, 14 from the Tashkent region, 9 from Namangan, 9 from Fergana, 8 from Karshi, 7 from Jizzakh, 4 each from Samarkand, Khorezm, and Navoi, 3 from Karakalpakstan, 2 from Andijan, and one participant each from Termez, Bukhara, and Syrdarya.

During the ceremony, Jakhongir Radjabov highlighted that such competition reflects both the high potential of the participants and the seriousness of the initiative:

“You stand at the beginning of an important journey.”

Out of four thousand applicants, only one hundred of the most qualified individuals were chosen, which alone demonstrates your potential. Ahead of you is a rigorous training program, project work, and opportunities for professional growth. You represent the new generation of specialists who will lead digital transformation in our nation.

Why BI is a Key Profession Today

The emphasis on Business Intelligence (BI) is influenced by both global and national trends. BI has emerged as a crucial element of the digital economy. Organizations across various sectors—including banking, fintech, healthcare, and manufacturing—depend on data-driven decision-making and require experts skilled in collecting, cleaning, analyzing, and visualizing data.

Global statistics highlight the swift expansion of the industry: according to IDC, the BI and analytics market surpassed $150 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach $230 billion by 2028. Various analytical institutions predict that the demand for BI and Data Analytics professionals is growing at an annual rate of 20–36%, with tens of thousands of new positions anticipated to arise in the near future.

The scenario in the Uzbek market mirrors this trend. There are over 500 active job openings in BI, data analytics, and data engineering. Compensation in these fields consistently exceeds the national market average, with IT specialists earning approximately 44% more than workers in other sectors. This indicates that BI is not only in high demand but also a lucrative profession with extensive career advancement opportunities.

What Participants Will Learn

The program consists of four sequential modules that cover essential competencies: foundational analytics, SQL, Python, data integration, and the creation of reports and dashboards within BI systems. Participants will undertake practical assignments, collaborate on projects, work with real-world datasets, and gain experience with tools commonly utilized in international companies.

The grant-based model fosters strong motivation: any participant who completes all four modules without absences and meets the program's academic standards will receive the entire training at no cost. This structure ensures that BI education is accessible to talented youth, regardless of their financial situation.
