A delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Deputy CEO for Resident Relations Lazizbek Khudaev, convened with a group from the Republic of Latvia, headed by Ravis Bremšmits, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of Latvia. The meeting focused on potential collaboration in information technology, artificial intelligence, and the enhancement of the startup ecosystem, as well as avenues for IT firms and startups to penetrate new markets.

The Latvian delegation comprised Ravis Bremšmits, State Secretary of the Ministry of Economics of the Republic of Latvia; Georgiy Voyevoda, Head of the Latvian Economic Representation at the Embassy of Latvia in the Republic of Uzbekistan; representatives from the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia and the Latvian ICT Cluster; along with representatives from the companies MKG Building OU Latvia, Asya 21, Emy Solutions, and Fan Apps.

During the discussions, IT Park Uzbekistan representatives highlighted the organization’s initiatives and its significance in fostering the nation’s technological ecosystem. It was emphasized that IT Park Uzbekistan unites startups, IT firms, and international partners, while establishing conducive conditions for business growth and the export of digital services.

A major topic of discussion was collaboration in artificial intelligence. The parties explored possibilities for initiating joint educational programs, conducting scientific research, and developing language models.

The development of the startup ecosystem and opportunities for venture financing were also on the agenda. Specifically, the concept of launching bilateral market entry programs was examined. These initiatives would facilitate Uzbek startups in accessing the markets of the Baltic countries and the European Union, while allowing Latvian companies to investigate opportunities in Uzbekistan and other Eurasian markets.

Furthermore, IT Park Uzbekistan representatives suggested the establishment of joint laboratories to advance scientific and research collaboration. The parties also deliberated on the potential for exchange programs between universities and research institutions. Particular emphasis was placed on attracting Latvian technology firms to the Uzbek market to broaden their products and services in international markets.

Collaboration with Latvian government agencies and technology firms will enable IT Park Uzbekistan to enhance international partnerships, broaden prospects for Uzbek IT companies and startups in European markets, and draw in new technological projects and investments to foster the growth of the nation's digital economy.
