Representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Makhliyo Muksinova, the Services Export Development Director, convened with a delegation from KDB Bank Uzbekistan, headed by HaCheon Chang, the Director of the Information Technology Department. The delegation also included Doston Fayziev, the Head of the Digital Banking Department, and Anora Fayzullaeva, the Chief Specialist of the Digital Services Department. Following their discussions, both parties agreed to investigate the involvement of IT Park members in projects focused on modernizing the bank's IT infrastructure as part of the New Generation Project (NGP) and to maintain ongoing communication regarding future collaborative efforts.
KDB Bank Uzbekistan is a subsidiary of the Korean financial group based in Seoul. The bank operates two branches in Tashkent and employs around 150 staff members. Currently, it is executing a comprehensive program to enhance its core banking and operational systems as part of the New Generation Project.
The bank outlined its plans for technological modernization and the shift to international standards. The discussions centered on the participation of IT Park members in the NGP initiative, which includes the modernization of essential banking systems and supporting IT solutions. Special emphasis was placed on potential collaboration with Korean IT contractors, sharing experiences, and integrating technological solutions.
The meeting also examined how the bank’s initiatives align with the Initial Strategic Planning (ISP) program. There are plans to involve companies with established experience in modernizing core banking systems, thereby creating new opportunities for joint projects with IT Park members in Uzbekistan.
For IT Park Uzbekistan, this collaboration offers access to a significant project within the financial sector, aids in the growth of service exports, and strengthens the Park’s role as a vital platform for implementing international IT solutions in the country.
