Representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan, headed by Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, convened with a delegation from the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), which included Chris Lo, Regional Director of HKTDC, and Akerkin Eraliyeva, Director of the HKTDC Office for Central Asia and Mongolia. The discussion focused on the potential for collaboration in fostering startups and implementing initiatives aimed at promoting Uzbek IT companies within the Hong Kong market.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a governmental body established in 1966 to facilitate international trade for Hong Kong. With a presence in over 50 locations globally, the Council plays an active role in aiding small and medium-sized enterprises in reaching international markets through various international exhibitions, forums, and business missions.

During the meeting, HKTDC representatives suggested enhancing cooperation in the areas of startups and venture capital, as well as offering support for the promotion of Uzbek IT companies and startups in Hong Kong. IT Park Uzbekistan was also invited to take part in two significant international events — the Asian Financial Forum 2026 and InnoEx 2026 — both scheduled to take place in Hong Kong, serving as prominent global platforms for business networking and technological innovation.

Partnering with HKTDC will open new avenues for IT Park Uzbekistan to facilitate the growth of local IT companies in Asian and global markets, expand its network of international partners, and attract foreign investment into Uzbekistan’s burgeoning innovation ecosystem.
