Representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan, headed by CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, engaged in discussions with a delegation from the Cambridge Innovation Center. This delegation featured Alexandra Winter, Director of Business Development, and Alexander Cheung, Director of Venture Café. The primary focus of the talks was on creating a soft-landing program for Uzbek startups aiming to enter the U.S. market, particularly in Massachusetts (Boston). Additionally, the parties explored the potential for initiating a dedicated program to foster the growth of the biotechnology sector.

Cambridge Innovation Center (CIC) is a prominent global entity in the development and management of innovation campuses that unite startups, corporations, investors, and universities. Founded in 1999, CIC currently operates innovation hubs in over 10 cities around the globe, including Boston, Miami, Philadelphia, Rotterdam, Warsaw, and Tokyo. The CIC community comprises more than 8,000 startups, companies, and investors, establishing the organization as a key player in promoting innovation and technological advancement.

During the meeting, significant emphasis was placed on the possible introduction of specialized soft-landing programs for Uzbek startups at CIC campuses in the United States and Europe. The discussions included the provision of access to modern workspaces, expert advisory support, mentoring opportunities, and connections with venture investors and corporate partners. These initiatives would facilitate Uzbek startups in not only entering international markets but also adapting more effectively to the U.S. business landscape, attracting investment, and forming long-lasting partnerships with global industry leaders.

Partnering with CIC will allow IT Park Uzbekistan to expand opportunities for its startups in international markets, strengthen global partnerships, and establish a foundation for the growth of new industry sectors, including biotechnology, within Uzbekistan.
