
IT Park Uzbekistan and Amazon Web Services discussed prospects for cooperation
Jakhongir Radjabov, Business Development Director, and Makhliyo Muksinova, Services Export Development Director, conducted a meeting with a delegation from Amazon Web Services (AWS), led by Inna Ozhogina, Regional Director for Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Mongolia. The discussions focused on workforce development, specifically the training of cloud engineers, as well as the potential for supporting startup initiatives in the realm of artificial intelligence.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) stands as the largest global provider of cloud services and infrastructure. The company boasts a workforce of over 60,000 professionals and generates annual revenues exceeding $90 billion. AWS provides a wide array of solutions for both private and public sectors, including cloud storage, computing power, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. Its regional offices are strategically located throughout the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
During the meeting, the participants explored opportunities for launching joint initiatives and forming an IT community, improving workforce training, and deploying AI-driven technological solutions within governmental institutions.
AWS representatives also shared insights from their operations in Central Asia. The discussions further delved into the potential for collaboration with IT Park Ventures in supporting startups and venture projects.
A partnership with AWS offers Uzbekistan new avenues for advancing digital transformation, bolstering the startup ecosystem, and enhancing the country's integration into the global community of technological leaders.
