Investors Room at ICT Week 2025: Uzbek startups secure their first investments

As part of Web Summit Spotlight: Uzbekistan and ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025, the Investors Room took place—a distinctive networking event aimed at linking promising startups with potential investors.

The format featured brief five-minute pitches, followed by one-on-one meetings with business angels and representatives from venture funds across Uzbekistan, Europe, the MENA region, and the United States.

The Investors Room attracted over 50 startups and 28 investors. The venue was organized into two sections:

AloqaVentures participated in both areas, as its strategy includes investments of smaller amounts as well as those exceeding $1 million.

The Investors Room offered a valuable opportunity for emerging teams to access capital, expert insights, and strategic partnerships. After the session, the first investments were announced by Yoshlar Ventures:

Additionally, soft commitments amounting to around $10 million were secured, and several startups were invited to pursue further discussions with venture funds.

The Investors Room not only highlighted the strong interest in projects from Uzbekistan but also marked a significant step toward the development of new, successful companies with the potential to penetrate international markets.
