Global Startup Awards — Central Asia Final to be held in Tashkent as part of ICT Week

On 26 September 2025, Tashkent will be the venue for the Global Startup Awards — Central Asia Final, which serves as the regional segment of the world’s largest awards program dedicated to startups, taking place during ICT Week. This event will gather startups from eight nations, along with prominent industry experts, investors, accelerators, and media representatives, establishing a vital platform to foster innovation in Central Asia and enhance the region’s presence on the global stage.

The Global Startup Awards (GSA) stands as the largest startup ecosystem platform globally, aimed at identifying and empowering high-growth and innovative entrepreneurs and their startups through worldwide competitions, events, collaboration, and community engagement. Over the past 12 years, it has grown to encompass 19 regions and 154 countries, receiving more than 160,000 applications and over 822,000 votes. Among its participants and winners are 16 unicorn companies, collectively valued at over USD 64 billion.

The agenda for the Central Asia Final will include an official opening ceremony featuring organizers and partners, presentations from finalists representing eight countries, a panel discussion addressing Central Asia’s rise as a new innovation hub, and keynote speeches from international industry leaders. The event will conclude with a prestigious awards ceremony, highlighted by an engaging show and the distribution of prizes.

For Uzbekistan, hosting this esteemed event offers a significant opportunity to showcase the potential of its national startup ecosystem, enhance collaboration with accelerators and venture capital funds, and draw the attention of international media to the region.
