On 13 August, IT Park Uzbekistan initiated its first corporate AI hackathon, gathering 270 employees from the head office, regional branches, and affiliated entities. The aim of this event is to create and implement innovative AI-driven solutions designed to enhance internal business processes.

The opening ceremony was held at the IT Park Congress Hall. In his welcoming remarks, Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies, highlighted the strategic significance of incorporating artificial intelligence into operations within both the public and private sectors.

Elyor Maksudov, Startup and Investment Development Director at IT Park Uzbekistan, pointed out the distinctive format of the event, which merges team building with a technology-centric competition.

Prominent experts in artificial intelligence and startups, Usmon Rakhimjonov and Artyom Panferov, shared insights on global trends and practical case studies regarding AI adoption. They introduced IT Park staff to the use of H.A.D.I. cycles for hypothesis testing and agent-based programming.

On the first day, participants were briefed on the objectives, rules, and evaluation criteria of the hackathon, met with mentors—representatives from member companies and industry experts—and began formulating concepts for their projects. The topics addressed crucial areas such as HR process automation, accounting optimization, document management enhancement, improvement of customer service quality, and more.

Fifteen AI specialists from Realsoft, AI Lab, EPAM, and IMPACT served as mentors, playing a crucial role in assisting participants with both technical and conceptual aspects to ensure their projects are practical and ready for implementation. The first day showcased a high level of team involvement and a strong dedication to achieving meaningful outcomes.

Thematic workshops are planned for today and tomorrow, with the final round scheduled for 16 August, when teams will present their solutions to the jury and the winners will be declared.

IT Park Uzbekistan is dedicated to establishing platforms that harness the potential of its specialists, integrate cutting-edge technologies, and foster a culture of innovation within the organization.
