A project aimed at establishing a new IT infrastructure facility—an incubation complex for IT companies and startups—has been officially initiated in Samarkand. The commencement of construction was celebrated with a special event that included representatives from regional authorities, IT Park Uzbekistan, and the international contractor.

The ceremony featured Adiz Boboyev, Hokim of Samarkand Region; Jamshid Egamberdiyev, Advisor to the Minister of Digital Technologies; Farhod Ibragimov, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan; and Pang Shengjian, the General Director of the Chinese firm Shanghai Construction Group in Uzbekistan, who represented the project’s general contractor, along with other industry stakeholders.

During the event, it was emphasized that the construction of the IT Park aims to enhance the region's digital economy, facilitate the integration of innovative technologies across various sectors, and cultivate skilled professionals in the information technology domain. The new complex is anticipated to create an environment conducive to supporting startup initiatives, housing IT companies, and fostering the professional development of young specialists.

The IT incubation center will be constructed on a site spanning approximately one hectare. The project is being executed by Shanghai Construction Group under the EPC+F model, which encompasses the complete cycle of work—design, procurement, construction, and financing. All phases of implementation will adhere to national legislation and international engineering standards, including safety and quality compliance.

This initiative is part of the “Digital Uzbekistan – 2030” strategy and is focused on establishing sustainable digital infrastructure across the regions. The new IT Park will function as a hub for technology firms, startups, and investors, while also aiding in the development of innovative sectors and fostering international collaboration, particularly between Uzbekistan and China in the digital economy.

The Samarkand project enhances IT Park Uzbekistan’s regional network, bolsters its infrastructure capabilities, and creates additional opportunities for the growth of IT companies, talent development, and job creation. This will enable IT Park Uzbekistan to continuously advance the country's technology ecosystem and support regional projects in scaling to both national and international levels.
