
Artificial intelligence readiness assessment in Uzbekistan: Steering committee meeting within the UNESCO initiative
The Ministry of Digital Technologies convened a meeting of the steering committee for the project "Artificial Intelligence Readiness Assessment Methodology (RAM) in Uzbekistan," which is being carried out as part of a UNESCO initiative.
The meeting featured remarks from Bobur Khodjaev, Head of the Department for Financial Technologies, Digitalization, and Artificial Intelligence of the Presidential Administration; Oleg Pekos, First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies; Sara Noshadi, UNESCO Representative in Uzbekistan; and Elyor Maksudov, Director of Startups and Investments Development.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the activities completed thus far under the project and discussed the preliminary results of the assessment, which includes legal, socio-cultural, scientific, economic, and technological aspects.
After the discussions, strategies were proposed to improve stakeholder engagement, adjust the project’s implementation timeline as needed, and coordinate preparations for both the committee's second meeting and the upcoming session within the framework of the UNESCO General Conference.
