Ambassador of Bangladesh and IT Park discussed advancement of the IT industry and startup ecosystem
Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, the CEO of IT Park Uzbekistan, convened a meeting with a delegation from the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, headed by HE Dr. Mohammad Monirul Islam, the Ambassador of Bangladesh. The discussions centered on the potential for collaboration in advancing the IT industry, with both sides agreeing to investigate opportunities for joint initiatives.
During the meeting, representatives from IT Park provided an in-depth presentation on the organization’s activities and initiatives, detailed programs aimed at supporting member companies, and emphasized strategies designed to attract foreign firms, including the state “Zero Risk” program. The parties also explored avenues for Bangladeshi IT companies to penetrate the MENA market via IT Park’s platform.
Significant emphasis was placed on enhancing the IT sector in remote areas, a priority that would aid in generating new employment opportunities for youth and ensure fair access to digital services.
The Ambassador suggested the establishment of a memorandum of cooperation between IT Park and the Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and invited an Uzbek delegation to visit Bangladesh for discussions with prominent IT companies. In turn, the Uzbek delegation invited the Ambassador to take part in ICT WEEK 2025, which is set to occur from September 23 to 26 in Uzbekistan.
The collaboration with Bangladesh is anticipated to broaden IT Park’s international partnerships, draw in new projects and investors, and further solidify Uzbekistan’s status as a global IT hub.
