The keynote addressed why Uzbekistan is becoming Central Asia's leading IT hub. The event was organised by EUROUZ, the Europe-Uzbekistan Association for Economic Cooperation.
Speakers included Teresa Ribera, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, Pierre-Paul Antheunissens, Board Chairman of EUROUZ, and Edvardas Bumsteinas of the European Investment Bank.
Meetings with European companies exploring expansion ran throughout the day. What convinced them most were the conditions: no corporate, social or property tax until 2040, more than 300,000 ICT specialists, and company registration in three days.
