Uzbekistan Launches AI Leaders 2026 Program with Stanford and OpenAI

Over 100 executives from more than 25 prominent organizations in Uzbekistan have enrolled in the AI Leaders 2026 executive education program, which is offered in collaboration with the Stanford University Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence Institute, OpenAI Academy, and Silkroad Innovation Hub.

The program officially commenced on April 8, 2026. It aims to enhance leadership skills in artificial intelligence and is in line with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev's vision to cultivate a new generation of leaders through partnerships with the world's leading universities.

Participants encompass representatives from governmental bodies, financial institutions, technology firms, and educational organizations. Notable participants include the Presidential Administration, the Cabinet of Ministers, IT Park Uzbekistan, Kapitalbank, and other significant entities.

AI Leaders 2026 stands as the largest AI leadership development initiative in the Central Eurasian region. It merges academic insights with practical experience, allowing participants to establish a robust foundation in AI, acquire essential tools, and formulate customized AI strategies for their respective organizations.

The program spans 8 weeks and features over 30 hours of instruction, with simultaneous interpretation available in Uzbek, Russian, and Kazakh. The Academic Director is Peter Norvig, a leading authority in the field of artificial intelligence.

This initiative also welcomes participants from across the region, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, and Türkiye, uniting over 150 organizations.

Upon completion, participants will be awarded certificates from Stanford HAI and will gain entry to the largest AI leadership community in Central Eurasia.
