Makhlio Muksinova, the Director for IT Services Export Development at IT Park Uzbekistan, convened a meeting with a delegation from the South Korean firm Robotis, headed by Sung Eui Hyung. During the discussions, the two parties explored Robotis's ongoing operations in Uzbekistan, its intentions to enhance its IT office in Tashkent, the process of obtaining member status at IT Park Uzbekistan, and the potential for future investment collaboration.

Founded in 1999, Robotis Inc. is a South Korean enterprise that focuses on the development and manufacturing of robotic platforms and components. The company is internationally acclaimed for its Dynamixel servo actuators and educational robots, which find extensive application in schools, universities, and research institutions. With its headquarters in Seoul, Robotis also maintains offices in the United States, China, and Japan, employing approximately 110 individuals globally.

During the meeting, representatives from Robotis revealed their ambition to join IT Park Uzbekistan and significantly enhance their operations within the country. The company has already recruited over 10 IT specialists fluent in Korean and English. By January 2026, Robotis aims to hire an additional 15 employees, with a long-term goal of expanding its workforce to around 50 specialists to bolster its IT and BPO services. IT Park Uzbekistan will assist Robotis in sourcing software engineers skilled in software development, data analytics, and robotics for its office in Uzbekistan.

The company also outlined its long-term investment strategies, which include the potential establishment of a manufacturing facility in one of Uzbekistan's regions by 2026.

The meeting placed a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, operational strategies, and opportunities for collaboration in the fields of robotics and high-tech industries. Makhlio Muksinova suggested fostering cooperation in training local professionals in software development tailored for robotic solutions.

Partnering with Robotis presents new avenues for IT Park Uzbekistan to attract high-tech firms in the robotics sector, generate new employment opportunities, and enhance export-oriented IT services. Robotis's membership in IT Park is also instrumental in reinforcing technological connections between Uzbekistan and East Asian nations, while simultaneously boosting the country’s appeal for investments in innovative technologies. Consequently, the number of Korean member companies in Uzbekistan has nearly reached 30.
