Shavkat Mirziyoyev Visits IT Park in Fergana

The head of state, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, toured the IT Park located in the city of Fergana.

This complex was established following directives from the President during his visit in August 2024. It was funded with 150 billion soums from the state budget and has the capacity to host up to 200 individuals simultaneously. The facility aims to train and engage over 3,000 young people each year in practical projects and provide IT services.

The center includes a contemporary coworking space designed for freelancers and programmers, along with fully equipped offices for resident companies. The complex integrates educational, production, and service processes. It was highlighted that this infrastructure enhances opportunities for youth self-employment and enables them to earn a reliable income.

In recent years, the volume of IT services in the Fergana region has quadrupled, with exports surpassing $23 million. Currently, the number of IT Park residents in the area has reached 139. In 2025, IT service exports totaled $22.7 million.

Plans for the new IT Park include increasing the number of residents to 200, generating 700 new jobs, expanding service volumes, and achieving $30 million in exports.

Looking ahead, the complex is anticipated to feature an artificial intelligence hub and initiatives focused on the digitalization of management systems. Additionally, modern educational courses in AI, programming, graphic design, computer literacy, and English will be introduced. Startups will receive support through venture funding, grants, and acceleration programs.

President Mirziyoyev also engaged with IT Park residents and young professionals in the IT sector, where their initiatives and ideas were shared and met with encouragement.
