
SCO Business Council Considers Investment Opportunities in Uzbekistan’s IT Startups
During the meeting, the parties explored investment opportunities in Uzbekistan’s IT startups, along with prospects for developing digital infrastructure, data centers, and research and development (R&D). Particular focus was placed on supporting technology companies and facilitating the entry of startups into international markets.
Representatives of the SCO Business Council expressed preliminary investment interest in projects being developed by Uzbekistan’s IT startups. Specifically, the parties examined promising solutions in the areas of electronic maps and mobile mapping services, government information platforms, as well as transport and healthcare information systems.
The participants also discussed the potential implementation of integrated technology projects that combine computing capacity, energy supply, and operational infrastructure. Another area of cooperation was research and development (R&D), including the development of technological solutions and support for the international expansion and export of IT services and products developed by Uzbek startups.
Following the meeting, representatives of the SCO Business Council were recommended to continue discussions on potential investment projects with the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Cooperation with the SCO Business Council provides additional opportunities to attract international financing for promising IT startups in Uzbekistan, develop technological and digital infrastructure, and support the expansion of Uzbek startups into international markets.
