IT Park Uzbekistan with MIT: Showcasing Tech Ecosystem, Innovation, Global Growth

IT Park Uzbekistan took part in the annual conference “Innovation in Global Growth Markets: Prosperity through Entrepreneurship,” organized by the MIT Kuo Sharper Center for Prosperity and Entrepreneurship, showcasing Uzbekistan’s increasing significance as a rapidly developing technology ecosystem on the global platform.

The event, which took place on April 22–23, featured a comprehensive agenda that illustrated Uzbekistan’s integration into international innovation ecosystems—ranging from its contributions to the global AI discourse to establishing direct avenues for startups to access the U.S. market.

On the first day, Abdulakhad Kuchkarov participated in the panel session titled “Rewriting the Rules: Machine Learning Built by and for the World’s Majority,” where he shared Uzbekistan’s viewpoint on inclusive artificial intelligence and underscored the necessity for wider involvement in the development of emerging technologies.

The second day saw IT Park Uzbekistan organizing a focused side event, “Uzbekistan Unlocked: Capital, Innovation & Growth,” which attracted over 110 attendees from the conference. Conducted under the MIT framework, this session acted as a direct link between Uzbekistan’s startup ecosystem and prominent U.S. investors, corporations, and technology leaders.

A key feature of the session was the presentation of four Uzbek product companies: Deepen, Platma, TTLK, and Minora AI, each showcasing their solutions to an audience comprising venture capital funds, angel investors, startup scouts, founders, integrators, and government officials. For these startups, this session represented a direct opportunity to engage with audiences in Boston and Silicon Valley through one of the world’s most prestigious academic platforms.

The program commenced with opening remarks from Dina H. Sherif, Executive Director of the MIT Kuo Sharper Center, followed by a presentation from IT Park Uzbekistan on Uzbekistan’s market transformation and opportunities for international expansion. A specialized session on cross-border innovation, led by Silkroad Innovation Hub, emphasized the increasing importance of platforms that connect Central Asia with global tech ecosystems. The agenda also featured a panel discussion hosted by Plug and Play, where Uzbek startups discussed their strategies for developing globally competitive products from the outset.

In addition to showcasing startups, the session highlighted Uzbekistan’s competitive advantages for international partners, including a 0% corporate tax rate for members of IT Park Uzbekistan and government-supported co-investment programs aimed at assisting scaling companies.

With over 3,500 technology firms and more than 950 startups, an ecosystem valuation of $43 billion (Dealroom, 2025), and recognition as the second fastest-growing startup ecosystem globally (StartupBlink, 2025), Uzbekistan is drawing increasing global attention as a market ripe for high growth and opportunities.

The program wrapped up with the “Uzbekistan Networking Session” held at the Cambridge Innovation Center’s Venture Café, a prominent innovation platform in Boston. The evening fostered discussions beyond the formal agenda, allowing founders, investors, and partners to engage through informal networking and startup presentations.

By participating in “Innovation in Global Growth Markets: Prosperity through Entrepreneurship,” IT Park Uzbekistan emphasized its role as a government-supported entity open to global partnerships, positioning the nation as an accessible and swiftly advancing center for technology, investment, and cross-border innovation.
