IT Park Uzbekistan Showcases Uzbekistan’s Digital Economy Development Experience to Representatives of GIZ Projects

The meeting took place with the involvement of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan and IT Park Uzbekistan. The discussions centered on Uzbekistan’s achievements in digital transformation, the growth of the IT industry, support for tech entrepreneurship, and the development of skilled professionals.

International Exchange of Experience in Digital Transformation

The international group included representatives of GIZ-implemented projects in Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Serbia, Kosovo, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan. Their work areas include green economy development, vocational education, private sector support, job creation, and sustainable economic development programs.

The study program, scheduled for October 13–15, 2026, is designed to promote international knowledge exchange and examine methods for economic transformation, professional skills development, and enhanced interregional cooperation.

One of the main topics of the visit was Uzbekistan's progress in building its digital economy, including efforts to establish a supportive environment for IT businesses, encourage innovation, and broaden opportunities for training IT specialists.

IT Park Uzbekistan Opportunities and Technology Ecosystem Development

During the meeting, participants were presented with IT Park Uzbekistan's operations, the main priorities for developing the national IT ecosystem, and the mechanisms currently in place to support technology companies.

A specific segment of the program was dedicated to Enterprise Uzbekistan. International attendees learned about the initiative, its activities, and its contribution to the advancement of the country's technology sector.

The delegation also visited UZINFOCOM, where they gained an understanding of the organization's work in the field of digital technologies.

Prospects for International Cooperation

The meeting offered an opportunity to share Uzbekistan’s experience in digital transformation and to discuss strategies for developing the technology sector and enhancing human capital.

Such initiatives highlight the close relationship between digital transformation, vocational education, and sustainable economic development. Uzbekistan's experience in constructing its IT ecosystem and cultivating a skilled workforce is of special interest to representatives of GIZ projects focused on economic modernization and workforce development.

IT Park Uzbekistan's involvement in the Inclusive Green Transition in Central Asia initiative supports the expansion of international professional dialogue, highlights Uzbekistan's technological capabilities, and promotes the exchange of experience in digitalization and innovation.
