Discussions centered on the development of IT and BPO outsourcing, attracting international firms, supporting startups, and expanding global partnerships.

New Opportunities for Uzbek–Norwegian Business Cooperation

On October 21, the Uzbekistan – Norway Business Roundtable brought together representatives of around 15 Norwegian companies in Oslo.

Participants discussed Uzbekistan's investment environment, opportunities for developing IT and BPO operations, tax incentives for IT Park members, and the potential for establishing service centers in various regions of the country.

A separate meeting took place with Jørund H. Rytman, CEO of SMB Norge, focusing on organizing B2B meetings, hosting joint business events, and strengthening ties between IT Park members and Norwegian companies.

The discussions concluded with an agreement to continue the dialogue and explore specific areas for future cooperation.

From StartupLab to Epicenter: Strengthening International Startup Partnerships

The delegation visited Oslo Science Park, attended the StartupLab Summit, and met with representatives of Epicenter, an innovation hub active in Oslo and Stockholm.

Discussions included support mechanisms for tech companies, acceleration programs, entering international markets, and knowledge sharing between innovation ecosystems.

IT Park Uzbekistan and Epicenter agreed to develop cooperation proposals, including startup support and the expansion of international networks.

The delegation also took part in the “AI, Technology & the Future of Food” panel discussion, which examined the use of artificial intelligence in agriculture, food production, and supply chain management.

International Investment and Access to New Markets

Another key event of the visit was participation in International VC Night 2026, organized by venture capital firms Inventure, Atomico, and nFront Ventures.

The event facilitated meetings with representatives of Fieldmind, Officebite.io, MinBil, Skovinen, Rud Pedersen Public Affairs, and Rasulson Consulting AB.

Discussions focused on attracting international investment, supporting foreign startups entering Uzbekistan, and promoting the opportunities available through IT Park Uzbekistan.

Potential applications of Fieldmind's agritech solutions in the Jizzakh region were examined, and discussions with consulting firms centered on opportunities to attract businesses from Northern Europe to Uzbekistan.

Participation in Oslo Innovation Week 2026 helped IT Park Uzbekistan strengthen its ties with Norway's business community, international startups, and innovation hubs.

Future efforts will focus on developing B2B partnerships, attracting international technology companies, and creating more opportunities for IT Park Uzbekistan members to expand into European markets.
