TASHKENT — At the CEVF 2026 Forum, a tripartite memorandum of cooperation was established among IT Park Uzbekistan, Astana Hub, and the venture capital firm Big Sky Capital. This collaboration signifies the initiation of an international technology hub in Malaysia, targeting not only the local market but also the wider Southeast Asian (SEA) region.

The new hub is designed to act as a strategic platform for B2B technology startups from Central Asia, offering a "soft landing" as they venture into the rapidly expanding markets of Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, and beyond. This partnership format greatly enhances the geographic scope and aspirations of the initiative, forming a strong connection between the ecosystems of Central Eurasia and Southeast Asia.

The hub will unite entrepreneurs, corporations, and investors, fostering an ecosystem that provides startups with access to the expansive and rapidly growing Southeast Asian market. There is a notable interest in the SEA market from members of IT Park Uzbekistan and startups throughout the region. Numerous companies are already prioritizing these countries for their international expansion efforts. The new hub will facilitate not only the testing of their solutions but also the realization of actual implementation and sustainable growth.

Startups will receive extensive support from the hub, which will include assistance with legal and business adaptation, access to pilot projects with major corporations, mentorship programs, and business missions. A significant focus will be placed on transforming pilot projects into commercial contracts and securing local investment.

The establishment of the Southeast Asia hub is a natural progression of our strategy to globalize Central Asian startups. Following the co-launch of hubs in Dubai and Shanghai, this new facility represents the next phase in broadening our international footprint. We are developing a comprehensive infrastructure to penetrate one of the world's most dynamic tech markets, thereby granting our startups access to new customers, partners, and investment opportunities.

According to the agreement, IT Park Uzbekistan and Astana Hub will guide mature startups with market-ready products and substantial scaling potential to the hub. In addition to supporting expansion, the initiative seeks to promote a bilateral exchange of innovation: attracting SEA startups to Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, fostering joint R&D projects, and encouraging technology transfer.

At Big Sky Capital, we recognize the vast, untapped opportunities in connecting the rapidly growing markets of Central Asia and Southeast Asia. By establishing this hub in Malaysia, we are creating an essential bridge that enables our portfolio companies and regional talent to expand into one of the world's most vibrant digital economies. We are eager to apply our expertise in go-to-market strategies and B2B SaaS to ensure that Central Asian innovation secures a lasting and prosperous presence within the SEA ecosystem.

The memorandum reinforces the commitment of the involved parties to foster long-term collaboration in areas such as startup support, attracting venture capital, exporting IT and AI solutions, and initiating joint educational and acceleration programs.

The establishment of this hub is anticipated to be a pivotal move in positioning Central Asia as a new exporter of technological solutions on the international stage.
