IT Park Uzbekistan and Silicon Village Sign Memorandum of Understanding

Representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Deputy CEO for Resident Relations Lazizbek Khudayev, convened with the Silicon Village team, which is headed by CEO Abid Kabir Chima. Following their discussions, the two parties formalized their collaboration by signing a memorandum of understanding.

This document is intended to enhance cooperation between the two innovation ecosystems and broaden international opportunities for startups.

Silicon Village is a technology initiative located in Pakistan, with its headquarters in Islamabad. It focuses on developing infrastructure for startups and tech companies by integrating workspaces, partnerships, and access to professional communities.

The parties committed to sharing expertise in supporting startups, as well as in incubation and acceleration programs, and the commercialization of technologies. They also explored collaborative projects aimed at promoting entrepreneurship and enhancing the digital landscape.

Particular emphasis was placed on organizing joint events, including seminars, forums, exhibitions, and roadshows. Key priorities include assisting startups in entering new markets and strengthening the connections between the ecosystems.

The partnership will also encompass areas such as digital transformation, emerging technologies, talent development, and discussions on innovation policy. This agreement is anticipated to create additional opportunities for startups on both sides.
