IT Park Uzbekistan and OITE Global Discuss Cooperation within COMEX 2027

The meeting covered potential opportunities for expanding collaboration between IT Park Uzbekistan and OITE Global, the organizer of the COMEX Global Technology Show in Oman, including ways for Uzbek technology companies and startups to participate in COMEX international events.

COMEX Global Technology Show is one of Oman's leading international technology platforms, uniting government bodies, technology companies, startups, investors, and industry professionals. Hosted in Muscat, the event includes a conference program, B2B meetings, startup-investor engagement, practical workshops, and showcases of technology solutions.

A central topic of the discussion was the possibility of IT Park Uzbekistan's participation in COMEX 2027, scheduled to take place in Muscat from February 1 to 4, 2027. The parties explored potential participation formats, opportunities to highlight Uzbekistan’s technological capabilities, and the development of additional platforms to promote Uzbek IT companies and startups.

Special emphasis was placed on enhancing interactions between startups and investors. The parties discussed the possibility of creating a dedicated track for Central Asian startups within the COMEX ecosystem, including meetings with potential investors, technology firms, and international partners.

After the meeting, the parties signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding cooperation with COMEX. The document outlines support for the official participation of Uzbek startups in COMEX events, strengthening connections between technology ecosystems, and exploring opportunities to host COMEX events in Uzbekistan.

COMEX focuses on key areas such as e-government, enterprise technologies, artificial intelligence, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, startups, Gaming & Esports, banking, and financial technologies. Specialized thematic zones also cover robotics, smart cities, space and unmanned technologies, sustainable energy, AgriTech, and HealthTech.

In 2025, COMEX attracted over 90,000 visitors, more than 200 public and private organizations, and over 140 technology startups. During the event, more than 150 agreements with a combined value of approximately OMR 116 million were announced. COMEX 2027 will be the 35th edition of the exhibition and will be held at the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre.

OITE Global, the organizer of COMEX, focuses on international exhibitions, conferences, and business events in Oman. The company has been active in the market for over 40 years, creating platforms that foster collaboration between the public sector, businesses, investors, and international technology firms.

A practical basis for cooperation with COMEX already exists. In September 2025, a delegation from IT Park Uzbekistan, including members Detecting AI, BRB Tech, and Fleetroot, took part in the COMEX Technology Show in Muscat. During the event, they met with representatives from Omani and international companies and explored new opportunities for exports and technology projects.

The meeting during ICT WEEK Uzbekistan 2026 and the signing of the memorandum established the groundwork for deeper collaboration between IT Park Uzbekistan and OITE Global. This partnership aims to increase the visibility of Uzbek technology companies and startups at COMEX events and strengthen business connections with Oman and the broader Gulf region.
