IT Park Uzbekistan and Neowiz Discuss Expanding Cooperation in GameDev

The parties explored opportunities for Neowiz to enter the Uzbekistan and Central Asian markets, discussed the conditions for operating in the country, the process for obtaining IT Park member status and accessing available tax incentives, as well as the prospects for collaboration with local GameDev companies and expansion into CIS markets.

Neowiz representatives highlighted that the company is considering Uzbekistan in two primary areas: as a regional hub for operations across CIS markets and as a country with potential to attract Russian-speaking GameDev and IT professionals. The company expressed interest in receiving further information about the local market and technology ecosystem.

IT Park Uzbekistan outlined the opportunities available to foreign IT companies, including the conditions for obtaining IT Park member status, the existing tax incentives, and the support measures in place. Special emphasis was placed on the potential use of Uzbekistan as a platform for further expansion into Central Asian and CIS markets.

The company also expressed interest in identifying local partners and game publishers in Uzbekistan and the broader region. IT Park Uzbekistan confirmed its willingness to facilitate connections with relevant market participants and explore potential cooperation formats.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue their dialogue. IT Park Uzbekistan will provide Neowiz with additional information on the local GameDev ecosystem, companies, and potential areas of collaboration, as well as support the establishment of contacts with local partners and publishers.

Neowiz representatives were also introduced to the Enterprise Uzbekistan platform as one of the tools for further exploring business opportunities in the country.

Collaboration with international GameDev companies could contribute to the development of the local gaming industry, expand international connections for Uzbek developers, and create additional opportunities for the export of digital products.
