IT Park Uzbekistan and HTP Kyrgyzstan Expand Technology Partnership Across Central Asia

The collaboration between IT Park Uzbekistan and HTP Kyrgyzstan began in 2021 when the two organizations signed a Memorandum of Cooperation. Since that time, they have executed several joint initiatives, shared knowledge in developing technology ecosystems, facilitated the export of IT services, and enhanced the region's international visibility.

Currently, HTP Kyrgyzstan comprises over 450 IT companies that employ around 3,000 professionals. More than 90% of the revenue generated by these resident companies is derived from software development and IT services exports to North America, Europe, and Asia. Additionally, HTP Kyrgyzstan provides one of the most favorable tax regimes for IT firms in Central Asia.

During the recent meeting, representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan extended an invitation to HTP Kyrgyzstan to participate in the Central Eurasia Innovation Hubs initiative, which unites the leading innovation ecosystems in the region. The parties explored potential collaboration opportunities in developing regional innovation ecosystems, supporting technology hubs outside of capital cities, cultivating highly skilled talent, and attracting investments for high-tech projects.

The conversation also emphasized collaborative efforts to draw in international technology companies, investors, and strategic partners, while positioning Central Asia as a burgeoning destination for IT businesses and global business services.

Following the meeting, IT Park Uzbekistan and HTP Kyrgyzstan reiterated their dedication to enhancing their strategic partnership, initiating new joint projects, and fortifying cooperation in the areas of the digital economy, innovation, and IT services exports.
