IT Park Uzbekistan and American Councils Expand Cooperation in Education and Technology Sectors

Representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan, led by Director for Strategic Development Makhliyo Muksinova and CEO of IT Park University Bokhidyr Ayupov, convened with a delegation from American Councils for International Education, headed by the organization’s President, Lisa Choate. Following their discussions, both parties agreed to pursue further talks and create new collaborative projects in the areas of education, innovation, and IT skills enhancement.

American Councils for International Education is a global non-profit organization dedicated to implementing educational programs, facilitating academic exchanges, and promoting initiatives aimed at enhancing language skills and professional competencies. The organization operates in numerous countries, preparing specialists equipped with international experience and expertise.

During the meeting, representatives from American Councils acknowledged Uzbekistan’s notable advancements in its digital economy and IT sector. In response, representatives from IT Park Uzbekistan showcased the IT Park ecosystem, highlighting its significant achievements and the potential for international collaboration.

A particular focus was placed on enhancing the technological partnership between Uzbekistan and the United States. It was noted that the establishment of an IT Park Uzbekistan office in the U.S. represents a crucial step toward attracting investment and aiding Uzbek IT firms in accessing international markets.

The discussions also covered educational initiatives, including exchange programs, mentorship opportunities, and English language training specifically designed for IT and tech skills. A primary focus of the collaboration is youth development—equipping young individuals with practical skills and creating avenues for their involvement in international projects.

Furthermore, the participants emphasized the significance of the American Makerspace Center in Karshi, which was established with the assistance of IT Park Uzbekistan. This center offers young professionals access to state-of-the-art equipment and opportunities to engage in real-world technology and engineering projects.

Collaboration with American Councils provides IT Park Uzbekistan with additional avenues to enhance educational programs, strengthen international relationships, and cultivate competitive professionals for the IT sector.
