IT Park Uzbekistan and Agency For The Development Of Light Industry Sign MoU on Industrial Digitalization

Manufacturers are increasingly looking for advanced IT solutions and stronger local expertise in industrial automation. However, some production requirements still depend on foreign technology providers, which can result in longer implementation periods, more complicated technical maintenance, and higher costs.

During the meeting, the participants discussed ways to increase the involvement of IT Park Uzbekistan members in automating light industry enterprises. Special attention was given to developing specialized talent, introducing modern technologies, and creating direct links between manufacturers and local technology developers.

The MoU outlines several key areas of cooperation:

For IT Park Uzbekistan members, this initiative offers new opportunities to enter the industrial sector. Technology companies will be able to deploy their solutions at manufacturing sites, expand their portfolios of industry-specific projects, and develop products that meet real production needs.

In the longer term, the planned cooperation aims to establish a local industrial automation ecosystem, providing light industry enterprises with access to technological solutions and qualified technical support within Uzbekistan.

These efforts are expected to reduce dependence on foreign providers, enhance the technological independence of local manufacturers, and create new market opportunities for IT Park Uzbekistan members.
