Innovative Youth IT Center Opens in Bekobod

On March 7, 2026, the Bekobod district in the Tashkent region celebrated the inauguration of the Bekobod Innovative Youth IT Center.

The opening ceremony featured the presence of Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, Bekobod district khokim Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov, chairman of the Supervisory Board of IT Park Uzbekistan Farhod Ibragimov, and CEO Abdulakhad Kuchkarov, along with representatives from the Tashkent regional administration, engaged youth, and international guests, including James Vanger, head of the U.S. company Silk Road Professionals.

During the event, organizers facilitated interactive sessions for the young attendees focused on IT literacy, robotics, innovation development, and startup pitching. Speakers elaborated on the functioning of the startup ecosystem, detailed the stages involved in developing innovative ideas, and discussed career opportunities within the IT sector.

Participants from the IT Park Tashkent region startup incubation program also showcased their projects. In the pitch session, young entrepreneurs presented various startup concepts, including Joymee, Med Mopp, USD System, Agro Trade, and Orzu Reja.

Furthermore, startup founders who successfully completed the incubation program were honored with certificates and commemorative gifts.

The new center intends to offer educational courses covering programming fundamentals, English for IT, computer literacy, robotics, and startup and innovative entrepreneurship.

Looking ahead, the center aims to facilitate the establishment of new IT companies, assist in expanding IT exports, and prepare local youth for the global IT market.
