"El-yurt umidi" forum: IT Park presented career opportunities for youth

Tashkent was the venue for the forum and job fair aimed at scholarship recipients of the El-yurt umidi Foundation, which was co-organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Foundation. The event attracted 200 participants who gathered to share insights, discuss ongoing reforms in digitalization, and investigate career prospects for young professionals.

The El-yurt umidi Foundation was founded under the Agency for Civil Service Development under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the goal of training and retraining qualified specialists abroad. This program offers talented citizens the chance to study and intern at prestigious universities and organizations globally, allowing them to return to Uzbekistan and bolster priority sectors of the economy and the public sector.

During the forum, officials from the Ministry of Digital Technologies shared details about the extensive reforms currently taking place in digitalization, highlighting the crucial role of highly skilled youth in ensuring their successful execution.

A job fair was also conducted as part of the forum, where IT Park showcased its own stand, informing participants about available career opportunities and ongoing initiatives.

Dildora Nasibullaeva, Head of the International Department of IT Park Uzbekistan, discussed the evolution of the startup ecosystem in Uzbekistan, the active support programs for startups, and opportunities for international companies. She encouraged participants to gain international experience and later return to Uzbekistan to apply their knowledge and resources toward the country's development.

This summer, over 20 students joined IT Park Uzbekistan, including 14 recipients of the El-yurt umidi scholarship. They undertook internships in key departments such as startup ecosystem development, resident monitoring, global marketing, strategy and analytics, as well as at the regional office of IT Park in Nukus. These interns are affiliated with leading international universities, including the University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of Birmingham, Stony Brook University, KAIST (Korea), University of York, and University of Warwick.

Engagement in such initiatives allows IT Park to broaden its outreach to promising young specialists, attract new talent to the IT sector, and further enhance the national startup ecosystem, thus contributing to the advancement of Uzbekistan’s digital economy.
