Corporate Ideathon Held at IT Park Uzbekistan
A corporate Ideathon was organized to explore new approaches to internal departmental challenges, enhance existing processes, and cultivate a startup mindset among team members.
The primary objective of the Ideathon was to highlight Uzbekistan’s accomplishments over 35 years of independence more widely, while also generating new ideas and projects that could contribute to the country’s continued development.
Approximately 100 IT Park employees, organized into 24 teams, participated in the Ideathon. Over several days, participants focused on ideas aimed at promoting startup development, supporting their expansion into new markets, creating more effective support mechanisms, and optimizing IT Park’s internal processes.
Representatives from Astana Hub, CS Angels Club, IT Park Ventures, as well as the management of IT Park Uzbekistan, were invited to assess the projects.
Throughout the event, each team identified a specific problem, formulated and tested hypotheses, developed a solution concept, and prepared it for presentation. This process allowed participants to apply the methods commonly used in the creation and development of startups.
At the final stage of the Ideathon, teams presented their solutions to an expert jury. Each team had 3 minutes to present its project and an additional 5 minutes to answer questions from the jury.
The experts evaluated the practical significance of the proposed solutions, their relevance to the identified problems, and their potential for further development. The teams also received feedback and recommendations for improving their projects.
Following the final evaluation, winners were selected in four categories:
The corporate Ideathon provided IT Park employees with an opportunity to view their work-related challenges from a new perspective, test hypotheses, collaborate in teams, and gain hands-on experience in presenting and defending their solutions before experts.
Importantly, the ideas developed during the Ideathon are not limited to presentations. Going forward, the possibility of integrating these ideas into IT Park’s internal processes and turning them into practical solutions will be explored.
Congratulations to all the winners, and we wish them success in implementing their ideas within the organization!
